THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, AND HOW ARE WE REACTING?

Since the announcement of the first national lockdown in March 2020, we have continued to provide quality care and support to all our clients. Covid-19 has had a huge effect on all our lives but as a home care provider, we cannot stop.

The most important aspect of our work is, and always has been, keeping our clients and staff as safe as possible. We have maintained strict procedures following the guidance issued by the Government and Public Health England, and will continue to do so.

During the pandemic we’ve been ensuring that all staff are provided adequate PPE when on their rounds. This includes face masks and shields, gloves and sleeve protectors as well as aprons. In addition to sufficient PPE, all our teams are required to take a PCR test on a weekly basis and use lateral flow tests, if necessary, throughout the week.

We cannot be certain of how life will continue to be nor can we expect to return to life before Covid, but we are taking this opportunity to reassure you that we will do everything we can to continue to deliver our services.

We will still welcome new clients who require our support so again, we would like to reassure you that as we continue to follow the guidance set out by the Government and Public Health England, we can and will continue to help!

HOW BEST TO AVOID EXPOSURE TO INFECTION?

That’s easy - we’ve been doing it all since the first lockdown ...

  • Wash your hands frequently throughout the day

  • Use hand sanitiser throughout the day if water and soap are unavailable

  • If you need to cough or sneeze, use a tissue and dispose of immediately (Alternatively, cough or sneeze into your inside elbow)

  • Don’t touch your face with unwashed hands

  • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces

  • Keep your distance
